Hydrotherapy
The most important aspect of a hot tub is its ability to promote wellness, and to make you feel good. After all, if you are not satisfied with how a tub "feels", then all the "bells and whistles" in the world are not going to justify investing a lot of money in to a hot tub.
An understanding of hydraulics and jet technology is imperative to making a hot tub that provides exceptional levels of comfort and hydrotherapy, and nobody understands this better than Jacuzzi®.
Unlike most manufacturers that all utilize the same inferior, 3rd party jets, Jacuzzi® uses its own patented jet technology found on no other hot tub. Along with superior 56 frame pump motors, Jacuzzi Hot Tubs produce a high volume, low pressure jet action that will sooth your aching joints and muscles while leaving your body in a profound state of relaxation.
Your Comfort
The comfort of sitting in a hot tub can sometimes be overlooked at the time of purchase.
Many hot tub's feature very small seats, small footwells, and jets that protrude outward from the shell. Often when a manufacturer suggests that a certain tub can accomodate a specific number of people, comfort is of little consideration.
Jacuzzi® is known for featuring very open, ergonomic seating, large footwells, and jets that sit flush with the shell itself. The result is unmatched comfort and personal space, and ultimately the best hot tub experience available anywhere.
Hot Tub Water Filtration
A quality filtration system is imperative to maintaining crystal clear water. Additionally, effective filtration will result in reduced maintenance, leaving more time to enjoy the hot tub for its intended purpose.
As is the case with many of the other hot tub components, most manufacturers utilize an out-of-date, third-party filtration system. In conjunction with being inadequate, these filtration systems usually contain a "gate" that acts as a bypass whenever your pumps are on hi-speed. So, in actuality, these tubs are filtering 0% of the water when you need it the most; when the tub is being used!
By contrast, Jacuzzi®'s patented system contains two large, 60 square foot filters. The first is dedicated to the 24-hour circulation motor, which provides 24 hour filtration 7 days a week, while the second is dedicated to the jet pumps. Furthermore, a "debris bag" filters out larger debris even before going through the filters, improving their efficiency and life expectancy.
Hot Tub Efficiency
Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs are energy efficient.
The greatest expense of owning a hot tub is the cost of heating the water, particularly during the winter months.
In most systems, heating occurs through the use of a jet pump, as well as a foot-long, exposed heating element. Despite the fact that the jet pump will run on low speed, the water is still travelling at a pace that does not allow for efficient heat transfer, meaning that both the pump and heater must be active for a relatively long period of time to achieve and maintain a desired temperature. Also, the short length of most heaters contributes to this lack of efficiency.
A Jacuzzi® Hot Tub does all of its heating through a circulation line. Beginning with the energy efficient 24-hour circulation motor, the slow moving water moves across a 4-foot long heating element, providing the most efficient level of heat transfer anywhere. Additionally, the heating element is referred to as a "non-immersion" element. This is because the element is encased in titanium, never actually coming in to direct contact with the water. Unlike most other heaters, this element will never corrode.
As far as holding the heat, Jacuzzi® uses multi-layered, full-foam insulation. This not only effectively holds heat, but provides support to the plumbing itself, drastically reducing the likelyhood of leaks. A few manufacturers use perimeter foam insulation, utilizing the same principles as home heating. This method is also an effective way to retain heat, however, the lack of support for the plumbing can often result in leaks, while the lack of ventilation for the pumps causes them to overheat, while also reducing their life-expectancy.
Construction
Jacuzzi® hot tubs are built with longevity in mind.
A solid foundation is something often overlooked by manufacturers and buyers alike. Most hot tubs feature either wood bases, or nothing at all, exposing the foam beneath. It's easy to take such a short-cut because people seldom see the bottom of their hot tubs. A wood bottom will inevitably rot, while both wood and exposed foam are succeptable to moisture and rodents. If the presence of tiny animals living in your hot tub doesn't bother you, know that they will likely wreak havoc on your hot tubs internal electrical system.
Jacuzzi® is the only hot tub that comes standard with a fully-enclosed polymer base. Such a base provides unparalleled structural integrity, while dispelling the worry of unwanted residents.
High stress areas of the shell are supported by ABS tubes that sit on the polymer base, leaving very little weight to be supported by the cedar frame.
The shell itself is an acrylic surface that is bonded to a high strength composite used widely in the aerospace industry. Separating the two layers from one another is a layer of vinyl-ester resin. The presence of this material ensures that the shell surface does not blister or crack.
The cabinet of all Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs are comprised of a composite material that looks just like real wood, without the weathering and required maintenance.
Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs are manufactured under specific guidelines governed by ISO, The International Standardization Organization, specifically those standards recognized under ISO9000.
This entails that each Jacuzzi® Hot Tub is made using the same quality manufacturing process, while being subject to bi-annual audits. For the consumer, this is meant to provide one with the peace of mind knowing that a 3rd party company is ensuring that each Jacuzzi Hot Tub is built under very strict guidelines, ultimately resulting in a very predictable, reliable product.
Only two other manufacturers can make this claim. They, along with Jacuzzi®, are the top 3 selling hot tubs in the world, proving that the quality standards issued through ISO exude buyer confidence.
